SkySQL bietet 48 Stunden kostenlosen MySQL-Testzugang in der Cloud

SkySQL, Anbieter von Open-Source-Datenbank-Lösungen, hat eine online-Testmöglichkeit für die neue SkySQL Cloud Data Suite – ohne Anmeldung eines AWS-Kontos (Amazon Web Service) – eingerichtet. Das erste Software-Tool mit grafischer Benutzeroberfläche zur Bereitstellung und Verwaltung hochverfügbarer Open-Source-Datenbank-Cluster in der Cloud kann von Unternehmen nun in einer Demo-Version auf https://cloud.skysql.com für 48 Stunden mit eigenen Daten getestet werden. Am Ende des Zeitraums wird das System gelöscht.

Weitere neue Funktionen

1. Das Konzept multipler Benutzerkonten und Passwörter. Datenbank-Administratoren können eine grafische Konsole für administrative Aufgaben wie Backup, Restore, Isolation und Re-Konfiguration der eingerichteten Nodes verwenden. Diese Konsole ermöglicht ferner über spezielle Funktionen eine Elastizität des Systems. So lassen sich ein oder mehrere Nodes planmäßig für ein paar Stunden offline und zu Stoßzeiten wieder online schalten. Im Falle einer Störung sorgt das integrierte Master-Tool für hohe Verfügbarkeit, automatisches Failover und Datensynchronisation eines Master-Nodes mit einem der verfügbaren Slave-Nodes. Node-Fallback ist eine einfache Ein-Klick-Operation an der Administrationskonsole. Die Bedienung der grafischen Benutzeroberfläche ist so einfach, dass auch Systemadministratoren mit begrenzter DBA-Erfahrung ein Cluster von Cloud-Datenbank-Instanzen effektiv verwalten können.

2. Das System kann ab sofort mit 4 Knoten konfiguriert werden, was die Ausfallsicherheit der virtuellen Maschinen innerhalb der Cloud erhöht.
