Die NIA erwartet einen Cloud Computing Boom an der Wall Street.
Die National Inflation Association (NIA), eine Organisation spezialisiert auf das Thema Hyperinflation in den USA, sieht für das Cloud Computing innerhalb der kommenden 12 Monate ein Wachstum an der Wallstreet, das deutlich größer ausfallen wird als das des dot-com Booms.
Die NIA überwacht die Aktienkurse der an der Wall Street gelistet Technologie-Unternehmen und sieht in den aktuellen Anstiegen der Aktienkurse von Cloud-relevanten Unternehmen Ähnlichkeiten mit denen des dot-com Booms im Jahr 2000. Der Cloud Markt hat, laut der NIA, derzeit einen Wert von 74 Milliarden Dollar, der 3% der weltweiten IT-Ausgaben ausmacht. Der Markt soll bis zum Jahr 2013 jedoch auf bis zu 150 Milliarden Dollar wachsen.
Die Prognosen der NIA werden bspw. durch Studien belegt, die von Microsoft und SAP in Auftrag gegeben wurden und die u.a. vorhersagen, dass durch Cloud Computing in den kommenden drei Jahren weltweit 14 Millionen Arbeitsplätze geschaffen werden.
